Serge Ferrari PVC fabric is 100% recyclable. Using Texyloop® technology, it can be recycled and “reinvented” as secondary raw materials that have a high intrinsic value. Serge Ferrari’s dedicated recycling facility is located in Lyon, France.

End-of-life PVC fabric is sorted and shredded then sent to the Texyloop® plant in Italy. As it passes through the recycling system, the fibres are dissolved, filtered and extracted. The solvent and the PVC are then separated and the solvent is reused for future recycling.

Second-life raw materials extracted through recycling can be used for:

  • Extruded rods for bolt ropes
  • Tubes
  • Car bumpers
  • Soles of shoes
  • Waterproof membranes
  • Unwoven membranes for insulation, filling, filters and strengthening

Serge Ferrari’s PVC is also repurposed and used for large-format signage.

Environmental Footprint

Serge Ferrari PVC fabric reflects 80% of solar heat, resulting in cooler interiors and a reduced need for energy.

Serge Ferrari PVC is translucent, which reduces the need for artificial lighting and places less demand on electricity.

Compared to traditional construction techniques and materials, to manufacture, transport and assemble using Serge Ferrari PVC results in a lower carbon and environmental footprint.
