WetnWild H2Oasis Splash Pad shade

The WetnWild H2Oasis is an aquatic play zone – opened in December 2021 at the Gold Coast Themepark in Australia. The 870sqm family-friendly splash zone features moving water cannons and fountains to create an immersive waterplay experience. Fun-seekers are shielded from the intense Queensland heat by a collection of fascinating PVC shade structures that were designed to fit in with the Ocean Wonderland theme of the splash zone.

The Brief

WetnWild’s new state-of-the-art Slide and Splash Precinct includes Australia’s highest slide tower with three mega waterslides and the new H2Oasis Splash Pad, an aquatic play zone for all ages and abilities.

The H2Oasis is a distinctive aquatic wonderland with an ocean motif that is populated with enormous jellyfish, seahorses, palm trees, and conceptualized sea grass and coral. To keep park visitors safe from the Queensland sun, the client asked for a variety of seating and shade options surrounding the Slide and Splash sector, including picnic spots, line-up places, and the splash zone. In order to change the area and improve the H2Oasis concept, the requirement called for several distinctive shade canopies.

The Concept

The splash pad stretches across 870sqm and features an array of fountains, showers and things that go SPLASH! Keeping park visitors safe from the Queensland sunshine are 4 bespoke shade structures.

The Result

With an abundance of sitting and shade spaces encircling the precinct, the H2Oasis is now the ideal summer hangout for people of all ages, protecting park visitors from the Queensland sun.

The Village Roadshow Theme Parks and WetnWild Gold Coast opened the new H20asis precinct, including the slide complex comprising of Super Ripper, Double Barrel and KaBoom, to the public in December 2021.
